Forklift (LF)

1 Day course

Ideal for anyone who has no previous experience of Warehousing Lifting Equipment. The trainee receives tuition in safe operational techniques, which include closely supervised practice in simulated but realistic working conditions. There is a section of the course which comprehensively covers all aspects of lift truck theory and all matters involving current Health and Safety regulations.

½ day course

Designed for the forklift operator who has about 100 hours experience but not had the benefit of formal training. The course allows the operator time to develop and improve their skills under qualified supervision, also providing theoretical knowledge of safe working practices and relevant legislations.

Test Only

For people who have had extensive forklift experience, we believe that if you can demonstrate to our assessor your skills and knowledge you can then undertake the theory and practical assessment. This course is ideal for those who can already operate a forklift and need to become certified.

Refresher

This course is designed to give Certificated Forklift Operator a refresher course. The course we offer is designed to update the operator in all aspects of lift truck operation, practice, theory and legislation. Some operators have picked up bad habits. Some have forgotten important information. Some have not had the training required.

Elevated Work Platform (WP)

5 hour course

For anyone who wishes to obtain an Elevated Work Platform licence. The course is constructed to allow novice or experienced users the opportunity to gain the necessary skills in safely operating Elevated work platforms.

Cost $310 (Mon-Fri)

A Study Manual is included in the price and is provided prior to the course to enable each applicant adequate time to study and prepare for the written assessment.

OH&S Induction(White Card)

National recognised induction card that replaces the Victorian Red card.

Crane and Earthmoving Equipment

These courses are conducted Monday - Saturday.

Training Requirements

The following information outlines the requirements to undertake your Training and Licence Assessment.

For all of AWFTC's courses each applicant must provide 2 passport style photos of themselves.

On successful completion of testing the applicant will be issued a 60-Day temporary Licence.

You are required to lodge a completed and signed application form and Original "Notice of Assessment for a licence to perform high risk work" with Australia post in this period, a full Licence will then be issued.

NOTE: A Fee of $60.00 is payable directly to Worksafe Victoria

APPLICANTS MUST BE AGED 18 YEARS -
You must provide at least one of the following documents

Passport (current or expired not more than 2 years ago. NOT cancelled
Driver's Licence - Australian with photo
Australian Public Service employee ID Card with photo
Other Australian Government Issue ID Card with photo
Tertiary Student ID Card with photo

Enrolment Conditions

A DEPOSIT OF 75% IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING PRIOR TO THE COURSE DATE. FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BY THE DUE DATE.

If payment by the due date does not occur,your booking will be automatically deleted from the course and cancellation policy will apply. AWFT requires 7 clear days Notice of cancellation. If you cancel between 1 and 7 clears days before your course,you will forfiet your deposit and be invoiced 75% of course cost. If you cancel 1 clear day or fail to appear (at the start time) on the day of the course you will be invoiced and held responsoble for the full course fee.

REFUND OF COURSE COST WILL NOT BE ISSUED WITHIN 7 CLEAR DAYS OF COURSE START TIME.
