Victorian Elevating Work Platform Licence (WP Licence class)
Boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) or aerial platforms, can be raised very high in order to reach normally inaccessible areas. This makes work easier, but also increases the risk of falls or other height-related injuries.

The 2 Day course in elevating work platform Training in Melbourne (licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform boom length 11m or more) is ideal for students over 18 years of age who are wishing to obtain a Work Platform (WP) licence.

On successful completion of this course a Statement of Attainment will be issued to the student. Once students complete training and pass the assessment, they will need to lodge their licence application and notice of assessment to WorkSafe within 60 days to obtain a high-risk work licence to operate this plant. This Nationally Recognised Training consists of pre-learning at home, theory and practical hands-on learning, so students can feel completely confident taking their knowledge back into the workplace.

Any person performing work with a elevating work platform in Victoria is required to hold a WorkSafe (WP) High Risk Work (HRW) licence.

1. Must provide one primary proof of photo ID (Keypass, Passport, Australian Drivers Licence).
2. Applicants must be aged 18.
3. Applicants must be a resident of Victoria.
4. Basic English, literacy and numeracy skills at a level sufficient to read and interpret workplace documentation. You must complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment as part of the enrolment process. 
5. Must have the physical capacity to undertake the practical training and assessment components.

If you are on a visa, you must be legally allowed to train with AWFTC without breaching your visa conditions. Any
course undertaken by a student visa holder, whether it is a primary course or additional study, must be registered on
CRICOS (except for the LF unit – TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck). AWFTC is not
a CRICOS provider.

Qualification pathways: This unit of competency can contribute to Certificate qualifications from the Transport and Logistics Training Package.

Vocational pathways: Obtaining this unit of competency will allow individuals to enter the warehousing or logistics industry and other industries where EWP’s are used
