Forklift Refresher Course

Even if you have been driving forklifts daily, it is never a bad idea to take a refresher course to hone and improve your skill and to stay on top of safety regulations. This course can also be used as a verification of competency course for employers

Course Type Forklift 

• This course refreshes the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift safely;
• This is a hands on course at our training centre useful for assessment validation;
• The course content refreshes a person operating a forklift to plan their work, conduct routine checks on a forklift, shift loads in a safe manner and safely shut down and secure equipment after completing operations;
• Duration: 4 hours;
• Price: $225.00 Mon-Fri;

Topics covered in the Forklift Licence course:

• Acts and Regulations which affect how you work;
• Using different types of forklift trucks with a range of fuel/power sources;
• Inspecting the site and the forklift (including pre-start, planning, post-start and post-operational checks);
• Forklift attachments and controls;
• Data plates/load charts;
• Load centre and Centre of Gravity;
• Travel speed and visibility;
• Safe operating techniques & exercises (including lifting, lowering and positioning loads correctly; stacking into racks, stacks, containers and truck trays; travelling with and without loads; travelling on ramps/slopes);
• Safe shutdown and parking;
• Safety of other personnel.

• Must be able to understand and speak English;
  
• Must be 18 years of age or older;
  
• You will need to supply a form of photo ID. Either drivers licence or current passport;
• Must hold a current Forklift Licence.
